At the way out of Vilalba, a boundary marks the distance of 120 km to Santiago de Compostela. This section of the North Way crosses lands watered by the Magdalena, Trimaz and Labrada rivers. Travellers leave behind Alba, Pedrouzos or Ferreiro to get into lands of Guitiriz, through places such as O Codesal, Fontefría or Ferreira (here, the so-called Fonte das Verrugas: Wart Fountain is found that is called like this due to the fame of its curative waters), all of them belonging to the parish of Pígara.
